220 பக்கங்கள் கொண்ட அந்த நூலில் அதிகமாக சைவ சமயத்தையும், போகிற போக்கில் மற்ற சமயங்களையும் சாடுகின்றார் அண்ணா.
'கடவுள்' என்ற ஒரு சிந்தனையை பகுத்தறிவு மறுக்குமா?
'இல்லை' என்றே சொல்வேன். அதையே அண்ணாவும் சொல்கிறார்.
'என்னால் இவ்வளவுதான் முடிகிறது!' ஆனால் 'இன்னும் என்னால் முடியும்!' என்று மனிதர்கள் இரு துருவங்களுக்கு நடுவே போராடிக் கொண்டிருக்கிறார்கள்.
நம் வரையறையை மிஞ்சி மேலெழும்பு நிற்கும் ஆற்றல் நம் அனைவருக்கும் இருக்கிறது.
அந்த ஆற்றலில் தான் நமக்கு மிஞ்சிய ஒரு ஆற்றலை உணர்கின்றோம். அந்த ஆற்றலுக்குத்தான் நம் கடவுள், அல்லது அல்லா, அல்லது இயேசு, அல்லது சிவன், அல்லது முருகன் எனப் பெயரிடுகின்றோம்.
அந்த ஆற்றல் தனி மனிதர் சார்ந்தது.
அதற்குப் பெயர், புத்தகம், அடையாளம், சடங்கு என வரையறை வரைவது மடமை.
2000 ஆம் ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன் வணங்கப்பட்ட கடவுளர்கள் இன்று மறக்கப்பட்டுவிட்டனர். இன்று நாம் கொண்டாடும் கடவுளர்கள் நாளை மறக்கப்படலாம்.
ஆனால், மனித குலம் என்றும் தன் உள்ளத்தில் இருக்கும் அந்த வெற்றிடத்தை அடைக்க முயன்றுகொண்டே இருக்கும்.
அந்த வெற்றிடம் இருக்கும் வரைக்கும் கடவுளுக்கான தேடல் இருக்கும்.
உண்மையை, உள்ளதை உள்ளபடி ஏற்றுக்கொண்ட ஒரு மனத்தின் எதிரொலி தான் இன்றையப்பதிவு. பறவையைக் கண்டதால் விமானம் படைத்த மனிதன்...எதிரொலியைக் கேட்டு வானொலி கண்ட மனிதன் எதனைக்கண்டு மதத்தையும்,கடவுளையும் ஏற்றுக்கொண்டான்..?" நாளை காலை விண்ணில் ஒரு செயற்கைக்கோளை அனுப்பப் போகிறோம்" என மார்தட்டிச் சொல்லும் மனிதனால் நாளை உறக்கத்திலிருந்து எழுவோமா" எனச் சொல்ல முடிவதில்லை.இதுதான் நம் ஆற்றலையும் கடந்த ஒரு ஆற்றல்.அந்த ஆற்றலைத்தான் பல பெயர்களில் தெய்வங்களாக நாம் வழிபடுவதாகச் சொல்கிறார் தந்தை. அதுதான் உண்மையும் கூட.இந்த ஆற்றலை உணர மறுக்கும் மனங்கள் வெற்றிடமே.இந்த வெற்றிடத்தை நிரப்பும் முயற்சிக்கு மறு பெயர் தான் " இறை தேடல்"...," கடவுளுக்கான தேடல்." அறிஞர் அண்ணா போன்றவர்கள் " பகுத்து அறிய" முற்பட்டதும்தான் இந்த உண்மையைத்தான்.தான் உணர்ந்த உண்மையை ஆணித்தரமாக உலகுக்குக் கூறும் தந்தைக்கு என் வாழ்த்துக்கள்! பாராட்டுக்கள்!!!

01] I am glad you are picking up Mr. C. N. Annadurai and the like in your blog site.
Kindly continue to add others from Tamilnadu, Tamil Politics, Tamil Literature, Tamil Folk world, Tamil Mythology, Tamil Philosophy, Tamil Bhakthi Movements etc.
02] Mr. CNA was a not someone unique in his mode of thoughts and writing in Tamilnadu; things didn't just begin with him either. Perhaps the history of Tamil rationalism's shadows stretch long and roots run deep many centuries before D K, DMK and others.
03] The question you raised, "Where would Mr. CNA would have landed?" forces me to play rather the Almighty God. I think it is rather soul-filling as long as I am making sure where I might be arriving at...Not even Pope Francis would infallibly ensure me the status of Mr. CNA. May be Catholics must worry more about where THEIR TRAIN would stop, than fantasizing about "who among the politicians would be saved".
04] Mr. CNA hails from Kancheepuram, a city of Orthodox Hinduism and orthodox temples, many and many more temples. If I come from a neighborhood of too many churches, temples, mosques or synagogues, there are so many incarnations I might take. Would I not? Either an Augustine, a Sankara, Averroes, Maimonides, or an avowed Marxist Rationalist. Some of the well-known Rationalists are products of the Catholic Church.
05] Let us keep in mind that Mr. CNA didn't belong to the upper berth of the Kancheepuram society. Being in the lower rung sometimes causes irritations toward the architecture of the ladder. And if the lower-seated guy is intelligent, educated, and sensitive, then he tends to "conceive and deliver" strange ideologies.

01] Mr. CNA's critique of a specific Faith and its praxis thereof remind me so much in the Christian Scriptures [Teachings of Jesus, John the Baptists and the Prophets] - Was Mr. Kancheepuram Natarajan [What a name to have!] Annadurai a prophet of sorts?:
- "Woe to you scribes and Pharisees, you frauds"
- "Blind guides! You strain the gnat and swallow the camel"
- "Blind fools, which is more important..."
- "You brood of vipers! Who told you to flee from the wrath"
- "Let the man with two coats give to him who has none".
- "Don't bully anyone. Denounce anyone falsely"
- "Woe to those who cast justice to the ground!"
- "Though you have built houses of hewn stones, you shall not live in them; Though you have planted choice vineyards..
- "I know how many are your crimes, how grievous your sins; oppressing the just, accepting bribes, repelling the needy at the gate"

Your attempt to bridge rationality with Faith is commendable. Anyone who is familiar with St Thomas Aquinas would fully endorse you.
Your descriptions on Allah, Jesus, Sivan or Murugan are partially acceptable to me...
If your blog "presumes" to fill the vacuum by an ever-evolving down-up emerging notions of human enterprises, I have certain difficulties to concur with you...
If you, on the contrary, posit a loving, faithful, and covenantal God tearing the heavens [or whatever] constantly to come down - the hound of Heaven - to meet and pitch His tent with humanity [despite so much brokenness and sinfulness, personal, social and systemic], of course where then can I find a shelter except in YESU?
